What a pleasure it is for me to capture your character and goodness as I see it through my lens. I see myself as a bit of a photographic historian. We photograph now for you in years to come. Also, for those who come after us-----so they see who we were and can find themselves in likeness. Let's create timeless, meaningful images and have fun while doing it! Trust me.
Everyone has a story--a personal journey that unfolds with time. For me, photographs are one way we share our story with others. I have a treasured photograph of my grandmother when she was young with her sister. They are sitting together in a big chair outside reading a book. I marvel at their white darling dresses and beautiful shoes, knowing that they lived in the arid, dusty outskirsts of Las Vegas during the 1920s. Simple photos like that tell a part of their story---they loved to read and they loved each other dearly. This photo becomes even more meaningful when we realize that my grandmother's sweet sister passed away from an illness at the age of 18. How would they ever have known that this would be part of their story? How grateful we are for this photo of the two of them!
I've always been a sort of record keeper. I've taken photographs to accompany my journal writing since high school. I've used photos in every possible documenting method--from scrapbooking, to blogging to posting on Facebook or Instagram. When I got married in 2000, one of the biggest parts of my wedding budget was photography and I've never regretted that! We have amazing images from our wedding that will remain timeless. When we had our first children--twin boys in 2003, I couldn't photograph them enough!
I also enjoy commercial, brand and marketing photography and have a wide range of experience.
My joy comes from spending time with my husband and our three boys. I prefer mild over spicy food. I can't get enough of British movies. I gravitate to bold, bright colors over soft pastels (such is my photography style as well). Beach time or behind our boat is my favorite time. I can't live without good food which makes me a Trader Joes' customer for life! My life is normal---filled with ups and downs just like yours.

Our family equates family photos with a trip to the dentist…not fun! Lesli put us all at ease and picked such great backdrops and settings. We were so happy with the whole process, start to finish! I had seen Lesli's photos and knew that she had a mastery of the technique. However, I was a little bit concerned that my fussy family of six boys would feel overly posed in order to get the perfect pictures she takes. But after telling her about what we hoped to do, it was such fun and e got wonderful photos! Lesli does not rush the process, accommodates individual requests, and finds a variety of perfect backgrounds! I love the photographs. One of me is my Facebook profile picture! One of my senior is on his graduation announcement. We have a large canvas of “the men.” And I’m so excited about our next holiday card! My boys like how everyone’s personality was captured and that they were posed but never felt like puppets.
